Suicide

Suicide is a devastating tragedy that should be prevented as much and as often as possible. We are called to care for, support and provide for all those who struggle. Understanding the warning signs of suicide, together with good care and treatment, is truly life saving.

We must also support and accompany those left behind, who suffer greatly and need real care and support, along with our prayers. The tragedy of suicide should demand the best of any Christian community. A deeply compassionate and understanding response is essential.

The information and guidance in this book applies to those of all faiths and none. Faith in a loving God does not protect us from illnesses or suicide, but it can help us on those difficult journeys from illness back toward health.
