Sharing Our Story: How Grandparents Today Pass on the Catholic Faith
Grandparents can be mentors, heroes, nurturers and role models to their grandchildren, in many different ways. David Dayler offers a practical guide to how they can participate in the family’s spirituality, by taking on a leadership role.
With the changing dynamic of families in a complex and increasingly secular world, this book is a timely source of inspiration. Through questions, reflections, prayers and poetry to help guide readers’ thoughts, Sharing Our Stories answers the question: “What does it mean to be a Catholic grandparent today?”
David Dayler is the Director of the Office for Discipleship and Parish Life for the Diocese of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. With over 30 years in teaching and pastoral ministry, he brings a wealth of experience and wisdom to faith development. He and his wife Linda have three grown sons and two grandchildren. He is author of Being a Man After God’s Own Heart (Novalis, 2012).
