The new marriage ritual is the result of joint work between the Churches of the French-speaking world. This ritual received the Roman recognitio in December 2010 and has been in force since the first Sunday of Advent 2011. This new ritual includes annexes that take into account the new situations that pastors and those responsible for marriage preparation must face in the contemporary context.
