May 3. Our Lady of the Cape [Quebec]

Theological meaning

Mary leads us to trust and conversion. She reminds us that God is at work still today in the life of his people.

Meditation

We sometimes wish to receive striking signs. Mary points us instead toward a simpler trust. At Cana, she offers no spectacular solution, but a very clear direction: obey her Son. Even today, she invites us to take concrete steps, often very humble ones, that open a path for God. Most often, it is in daily faithfulness that grace deeply transforms our lives.

Mary, teach me trust and help me see God in small things.
