May 24. Mary, Help of Christians

May 24. Mary, Help of Christians

Theological meaning

Mary supports believers in their trials and spiritual struggles. She helps us remain faithful.

In the Bible

“The Lord will fight for you.” (Exodus 14.14)

Meditation

At times, life can be challenging: we face discouragement, tension, the struggle to remain faithful. We feel we have to carry everything alone. Mary reminds us that God is at work even in these struggles. He does not take away the trial but sustains us within it. Mary shares in this, with her quiet, maternal presence. She invites us not to give in to doubt or fear, but to stand firm in trust.

Prayer

Mary, strengthen me in my trials.
