May 21. Our Lady of Good Help

May 21. Our Lady of Good Help

Theological meaning

Mary is invoked as a concrete support for those who feel the need for help. She reminds us that God takes care of us.

In the Bible

“Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5.7)

Meditation

There are moments in life when we say, quite rightly: “This is a bit much!” The fortunate can rely on the support of loved ones and their community. Mary invites us, all the times, to place our burdens in God’s hands, since he knows perfectly well what we need.

Prayer

Mary, support me in my responsibilities.
