Theological meaning

Through Mary, the one who opened for us the way to eternal life entered the world. She is an open door between heaven and earth.

“Today you will be with me in Paradise.” (Luke 23.43)

Meditation

Our life is not limited to what we see, to what unfolds on the great stage of the world around us. Mary reminds us of God’s horizon: we are called to live with him, forever.

Mary, open my heart to the hope of eternal life.
