May 13. Our Lady of Fatima

Theological meaning

Mary calls to conversion, to prayer and to peace. She reminds us that God acts in history through open hearts.

“Return to me with all your heart.” (Joel 2.12)

Meditation

If one word could sum up Mary’s message at Fatima, it probably would be “conversion.” To be converted is not to change everything all at once, to overturn one’s life entirely. It is to reorient our heart. Mary invites us back to what is essential: to pray, to love, to choose what is good. Each day gives us small, concrete opportunities to turn back toward God.
