May 11. Mother of Mercy

Theological meaning

Mary leads us straight to the infinite mercy of God. She teaches us to recognize our need for forgiveness, to receive it and to offer it in turn.

“Be merciful.” (Luke 6.36)

Meditation

Receiving God’s mercy quietly changes how we see the world. Experiencing it gradually teaches us not to judge too quickly. Mary accompanies us along this path. She shows us that gentleness and patience are not weakness, but inner strength. At any moment a word, a gesture, even silence can open a space for healing and reconciliation.
