Praying with the Earth
J. Philip Newell
Number of pages: 76
A collection of prayers for all Christians who are concerned about peace and the environment.
This richly illustrated prayer book contains simple liturgies that invite readers to live for peace. Though we share the same spiritual descent, as Jews, Christians and Muslims our painful divisions are at the centre of much of the world’s conflict today. Praying with the Earth: A Prayerbook for Peace articulates the longing for peace that is closer to the heart of the world’s spiritual traditions than many might believe.
For each morning and evening of the week, J. Philip Newell provides strikingly beautiful and profound prayers that call us back to being the people whom Jesus described as blessed: the humble, the forgiving and the peacemakers.
